SEXTO GRADO: FINAL PROJECT MATRIX

SIXTH GRADE

THIRD BIMESTER FINAL PROJECT: 3D MODEL, COMPARISON OF A CELL WITH A STRUCTURE OR AN EVENT
THEME:
The cell is a functional and dynamic organism.
OBJECTIVES:
Students will develop an understanding about:
-          The different organelles and their specific functions in the biological processes of a cell. 
-          How structures or events in real life undergo dynamic changes similar to those occurring in a cell.
PROJECT PROGRESS
1.      Research & material:
a.      Students will use different materials to develop the project.
b.      Students will get a chance to go to the computer lab to perform research on the different parts of a cell.
2.      Design and construction:
a.      Using materials of their choice, students will build a three-dimensional model of a structure or an event and they will show how their choice is similar to a cell.
3.      Support and evaluation: 
a.      In groups of 2, students will demonstrate their work using different approaches from what other students used.
DELIVERY DATES:
1.      First delivery: Week of Cycle 5, August 11th and August 16th. 
2.      Second delivery: Week of Cycle 6, August 19nd and August 23rd.
3.     Third delivery: Week of Cycle 7, August 26thand August 30th.

CLARITY OF PROJECT
Materials utilized show a clear representation of the digestive system of an organism.
Labeling is clear (printed or with very neat handwriting) and the materials show the different parts of the digestive system accurately.
Language is used properly, English is used to describe information.
No grammatical errors.
Scientific language is utilized.
Materials utilized show a clear representation of the digestive system of an organism.
