CONVIVENCIA GRADOS 6C Y 6D Jueves 7 de Abril

Esta es la versión virtual de una carta enviada en forma de circular a cada uno de ustedes. Para que sus hijos puedan asistir a esta convivencia deben llenar el desprendible que les fue entragado a cada uno de sus hijos.

Estimados Padres de Familia, reciban un cordial saludo.

En busca de una educación integral, donde el crecimiento personal y la integración con sus compañeros y maestros juega un papel importante, el Colegio quiere invitar a su hijo(a) a compartir en el espacio de una Convivencia Anual.

En este espacio se reunirán los compañeros de curso, el (la) acompañante (John Fredy Castro para 6C y Alba Pico para 6D), la psicóloga y los guías de la Fundación Ruah. Ellos orientarán este encuentro en el cual se realizarán las actividades que proporcionarán vivencias interesantes y de reflexión.

La convivencia se realizará el día 7 de Abril, en el Parque Guaymaral ubicado en la Autopista Norte No. 224-80 costado oriental. Saldremos a las 7:30am y el regreso al colegio será a las 2:40pm, para volver a casa en la ruta habitual.

Es necesario que los estudiantes lleven ropa de cambio. Quienes no toman el servicio de almuerzo y regrigerio del colegio deben llevarlo de su casa.

La inversión será de $50.000 por estudiante.  Este cobro será incluido en el próximo recibo de pago con previa autorización firmada por ustedes.

La actividad es de carácter voluntario, quienes no asistan recibirán clase en el colegio.

Estudiantes deben estar preparados para la Evaluación Bimestral de Ciencias Naturales el día 24 de Marzo, 2011

Desde el 22 de marzo hasta el 29 de marzo los estudiantes presentarán pruebas bimestrales para cada una de las diferentes materias en su curso. Los estudiantes tendrán bloques de 90 minutos para presentar estos exámenes. Los exámenes son basados en el material presentado en el bimestre hasta esa fecha.

Traer antes del Viernes 18 de Marzo, todos los estudiantes, todos los cursos de Ciencias.

El día martes 22 de Marzo del 2011, se celebrará el Día del Agua.  Cada estudiante hará un pequeño trabajo para conmemorar ese día durante la última hora de clase. Se les requiere a los estudiantes conseguir los siguientes materiales para el día viernes 18 de Marzo del 2011:

1. Un lapiz carboncillo (se puede obtener en la Panamericana por $2.500 o menos).
2. Papel iris (también disponible en la Panamericana por $3.200)

Para la última sesión de la semana (jueves o viernes), por favor traer los siguientes materiales:


1. Plastilina (caja pequeña está bien)

2. Alambre dulce o caja de palillos (escarbadientes)
imagen alambre dulce 50 cm sería suficiente
imagen palillos o escarbadientes (no más de 50)

3. Tabla Periódica


Este material será necesario para hacer un modelo del átomo.

 FINAL PROJECT: PANEL OF ELECTRON CONFIGURATIONS.
THEME.
Describe the electron configuration for the atom of any element.
OBJECTIVES.
List and organize the total number of electrons needed to fully occupy each main energy level.
Development.
1.     Research & material: Students should determine what kinds of materials are needed to develop the project.
2.     Design and construction: Students should build a three-dimensional panel where they can show the configuration of any element.
3.     Support and evaluation:  Students will support and demonstrate how to make different configurations using their panel.

DELIVERY DATES:
1.     First delivery: 7- 11 March.
2.     Second delivery: 14-17 March.
3.     Third delivery: 21 – 25 March.

2.     Design and construction: Students will build a poster where they will show the different steps to carry out their experiment.
3.     Support and evaluation:  Students will demonstrate how their experiment meets the steps for the scientific method.
